Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP)

Air Source Heat Pump Installation (ASHP)Bright Green Renewables are MCS (Microgeneration Certification Scheme) accredited installers of Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) across the Midlands including Daventry, Rugby, Coventry, Northampton, Leamington Spa, Towcester, Warwick and Leicester.

Air Source Heat Pump Air Source Heat Pumps are designed to provide up to 100% of a property’s central heating and hot water demands by using electricity to convert the heat energy stored in the surrounding air into hot water (even at outdoor temperatures below minus 20 degrees C).

If you have an Air Source Heat Pump installed by Bright Green Renewables you may be eligible to receive the generous Government-funded Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) grants.

Over a period of 7 years from system commissioning you will receive quarterly payments which are designed to pay back up to 100% of the cost of the heat pump installation.

Why install an Air Source Heat Pump?

  • Heat pumps can be used in almost any property as a cost-effective alternative to oil, LPG, gas or electrical heating systems.
  • They are classified as "renewable" systems because they generate up to 5 times more heat than the electrical energy they consume.
  • You may be eligible for 7 year, index-linked RHI payments designed to cover the installation cost.
  • Air Source Heat Pumps can be installed onto existing radiator systems. The typical cost for the installation and commissioning of an Air Source Heat Pump in a 3-4 bedroom house is between £8,000 and £10,000.
  • Heat Pumps are a tried-and-tested technology having been used in Europe for many years, and more recently throughout the UK.

Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) ‘grant’

ERGA-DV_1a The domestic RHI grant is based upon the renewable heat generated by your Air Source Heat Pump. The grants run for 7 years and increase annually in line with the Retail Price Index (RPI).

At the current RHI rates an average ASHP installation will attract a quarterly, tax free, index-linked payment of around £300 (around £9,000 over 7 years).

Please see our Renewable Heat Incentive section for more information on the RHI.
