Air Conditioning Systems are highly efficient and cost-effective Modern Air conditioning systems provide highly efficient and cost-effective heating & cooling and use Heat Pump technology to generate (heat) and remove (cool) thermal energy from a building.

Unlike conventional electric heaters which are 100% efficient, i.e. they convert one unit of electrical energy into an equivalent unit of heat, modern air conditioning systems typically provide around 4 units of heating or cooling for every unit of electricity they consume, i.e. they are 4 times (400%) more efficient.

This fact is recognised by the UK Government who has deemed Air Conditioning as being a "Renewable Energy" system and implemented a reduced VAT rate of 5% for domestic air conditioning installations.

Bright Green Renewables have significant experience with Air Conditioning systems as the same technology is used in modern heat pump systems. These heat pump systems provide low cost central heating and hot water for domestic and commercial properties.

However, some domestic customers require a cooling function for large, glazed areas, e.g. conservatories and orangeries etc. Home offices and gyms can also benefit from Air Conditioning.

Modern commercial buildings typically have high heating and cooling demands and may require different temperatures in different areas. Bright Green Renewables can design systems to provide continuous heating or continuous cooling, or a “Heat Recovery” system which can provide simultaneous heating and cooling to serve different parts of the building.

These sophisticated systems can cool one area and use the extracted energy to heat another area, so reducing running costs and increasing the general comfort levels in the building. The heating and/or cooling of the rooms is typically provided by wall mounted fan coil units or ceiling mounted cassettes.

These intelligent devices are aesthetically pleasing and allow accurate temperature control of the area either via a wall mounted controller or a remote control device.

These come in a broad range of sizes and specifications to suit a wide range of property types and sizes.

They are straightforward to install and for a domestic property typically only require a 240V power supply to the outside unit and some small holes through the wall to connect the inside and outside units together.

Commercial Air Conditioning systems need to be sized to match the heating and cooling load of the building. Once installed a digital wall controller or remote control device can be used to accurately control the room temperature.
